MINISTRY OF PREACHING
Preaching serves as one of the primary ministries of the church as we regularly gather to hear from God’s Word. Faith Baptist is committed to a model of expository preaching, where we work through books of the Old and New Testament verse-by-verse, passage-by-passage. This model gives a more accurate and complete sense of what God wishes to say to us in His Word and helps us to live by the principles it teaches.

MINISTRY OF DISCIPLESHIP

Individual Discipleship occurs through book and Bible studies and one-on-one accountability. If interested please talk to the Pastor.

MINISTRY OF SERVICE
As each member uses their gifts to serve others (1 Peter 4:10) the body is built up. This happens as we care for each other when there are life struggles, and as we allow each other into our homes and lives through hospitality. More formally, as needs arise both the pastor and his wife serve the body by offering biblical counseling for individuals, couples and families.

MINISTRY OF MISSIONS
Faith Baptist Church is committed to reaching the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This starts here in Emporium as we reach out to our community through participation in the local food pantry and other various community outreaches, cooperative giving with the North American Mission Board, and by living godly lives as witnesses for Christ. Sometimes mission work does not involve a lot of fanfare or publicity but happens as members meet the needs of their neighbors. Faith Baptist is further committed to the Great Commission in Matthew 28, where we are called to make disciples of all nations. We do this through cooperative giving with the International Mission Board, Samaritan’s Purse, Gideon’s International, and individual missionaries we support (in particular Thailand, the Czech Republic, North Africa, and Indonesia).
